Welcome to the DRUSSA eAlert for February 2016, which is all about giving you an at-a-glance update on DRUSSA activities and what is new on, as well as putting key networking events on your radar.

This  Alert points you to:
  • the latest DRUSSA Digest published in January
  • upcoming DRUSSA activities
  • and information updates on important sub-Saharan Research and Innovation Association events, including the scheduled SARIMA 2016 Annual Conference.

The first DRUSSA Digest for 2016 was published in January. If you didn't have a chance to read the Digest when it arrived in your inbox you can have a look at it here

In this edition Kenyatta’s Research Uptake Communicator fills us in on how new avenues to get knowledge translated and into use by stakeholders are being put in place, while Obafemi Awolowo University’s Communicator recounts the extensive work that’s being done to digitise and index all completed research for web-access. Addis Ababa University reports that an exhibition of research with potential for uptake attracted over 5 000 visitors, while the University of Mauritius’ turn to external stakeholders has concentrated on bringing the higher education sector into a debate about how universities can provide solutions to development needs.
